The Scarcity Principle

I want to revisit a post from 2018, repeat some of what I said then, and elaborate in greater depth about the conflict all living creatures face: the immutable problem of scarcity. There is obviously a purpose in doing this, as I want to walk us through two basic characteristics of the human condition; one asserted from without - that being scarcity - and the other asserted from within - the Social Contract.
